Let's get the big things out the way 1st and then I'll tell you what drives me crazy!
Ford will be investing $1.2 billion in 3 Michigan facilities. Before we go any further, I think this is a good thing, it's well overdue, and is much needed for the state. The 3 projects will add and/or save thousands of jobs in the Detroit area. The largest and 1st project will see $850 million go into a Michigan Assembling Plant. This factory will now be used to bring back the ever famous Bronco and the Ranger pickup truck. The Focus that used to be produced there will now be moved to Mexico. This plan was approved through a 4 year contract Ford signed with the United Auto Workers Union in 2015. **THIS IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP IN MIND FOR LATER** This plan will retain the 3,200 workers that already work there. The 2nd project will be Ford investing $150 million in the Romeo Engine Plant that'll be used to supply power trains for the new trucks. This investment will create and/or retain 130 jobs. The 3rd project will be Ford investing $200 million to build a new data center in Flat Rock, Michigan. This center will be used to invest in autonomous, self driving vehicles, as well as car services. There's no projection on how many jobs will be created, but it's estimated that it won't be as many as the Michigan Assembly Plant. Sounds good right? Sounds like it's going to be beneficial to the community, it's a long time coming, I'm not into Fords, but if I was, I would certainly go out and purchase 1 to support. So, what's the problem? The problem is all this good is being spoiled by none other Donald Trump. He announced these projects before Ford could even make their announcement Tuesday AND even better he's taking credit for these projects. Remember earlier in the post where I made you all aware that these projects and plans were approved back in 2015? Trump didn't scam his way into the Oval until 2016. Sooo, sir, how is it that you deserve credit for these projects? Trump taking credit for this is like people taking credit for group projects when they didn't do any of the work, IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!! And you already know Trump's delusional legion of followers are going to believe that he made all this happen because facts don't exist!

**sighs** I sure miss the days when the leader of this country acted like a f**king adult (sorry mom). Monday night, Trump did what he does best because he doesn't know how to do anything else, twitter rant. He pondered the actions of the House Intelligence Committee and why they're not looking into Bill and Hillary Clinton's ties with Russia. I won't bore you with the specifics of what the ties allegedly were cause that's not the point in all this. **sighs** This Clinton controversy that he's speaking of was discussed in The New York Times 2 years ago, you can look it up if you're interested, I'm not cause again it doesn't matter.
The point of it all is this committee isn't going to look into Hillary because unfortunately and as much as it pains me to type this...SHE'S NOT THE PRESIDENT, YOU ARE! She is a regular American citizen @ this point just like the rest of us and this committee could give a damn about us regular Americans, they're not supposed to. Their jobs are to make sure you sir aren't putting the safety and last shred of dignity of this country in jeopardy by dealing with Russia. I'm sure if the election went the way it was supposed to, if there was something to look into as far as Hillary's dealings with Russia they would look into it, but we're here, stuck with you for the next however long you make it through this term. This is all just a distraction from the fact that there's something going on with you and Russia, the fact that you have no clue what you're doing, your approval ratings are so far in the toilet there's no way you could rebound, you lied your way into winning the election, you can't bring jobs back to the people you promised them to, you failed on TrumpCare, you're a flat our racist and sexist asshole (sorry again mom), and you're just a terrible person overall. I just can't! I'm soooooo sick and tired of this man and can't wait til the day he's impeached and we can just be done with him. A few more updates to share with yall:
#sayhisname I've said it before and I'll say it again, Donald Trump ran an entire campaign lying to people and now his lies are showing themselves and here's some information on the biggest 1 that helped him win the election.
Trump and his administration are saying that doing away with the Clean Power Plan is all about restoring coal mining jobs by eliminating regulation. I'm sure many of yall can remember when he made that promise during his campaign. Well, there's a problem in all that and Trump just chooses to ignore it. HERE ARE THE FACTS: The demand for coal in US has been declining for years and this is happening not because of these regulations that Trump is doing away with. The failing price of natural gas is the primary reason for the decrease in coal use by utilities. Also, wind and solar are becoming more competitive than coal. The amount of coal used to produce electricity in the US has dropped by 35% since it's high back in 2007. Another thing to keep my mind, 2016 was the 1st year where natural gas produced more electricity than coal did. Environmentalists and other experts have said doing away with these rules won't bring back the coal mining jobs. You guys have to remember though, according to Trump, science and facts are real things, so these experts have no Earthly idea what they're talking about! "The saddest part of this whole thing is Trump is raising false hopes in coal country for a revival that will never happen." --David Doniger, Director of Climate and Clean Air @ the Natural Resource Defense Council. I'm been saying the above since he started making these false promises. The man doesn't know what he's doing and he doesn't rely on facts and knowledge, he relies on the delusions that talk to him @ night. Eventually, these people that believed his falsehoods will wake up, smell the coffee, and realize that this man flat out lied to you all. There's no other way to say it, he lied, he manipulated, and used you all. Eventually he's gonna have to answer to that. Also, lemme get this straight. So, the rest of us will have to deal with the consequences of him doing away with this regulations all because he doesn't wanna accept the fact that his goal in all of this is just not going to happen. Screw that Earth, screw the air, screw the American people, screw their jobs, just screw them all, that's Trump's philosophy and I for 1 am soooooo sick and tired of this man and it hasn't even been 100 days. Today US District Judge David Lawson will be reviewing the details of a settlement that was filed yesterday in the US District Court. Here are some of the highlights from the settlement:
This all sounds good and reasonable to me! The state should definitely be held responsible for the costs of fixing these water lines, especially after all the hell they forced these residents to go through! Regardless of if Judge Lawson approves this settlement, I'll keep yall updated! If people didn't wanna pack their bags and move to Canada, this news will solidify the deal.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Liberal Gov't will go into legislation to legalize recreational marijuana and should be made into law by July 1, 2018, according to an official. Once this legislation passes Canada will become the largest developed country to legalize marijuana. Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould said in a statement that the gov't is committed to introducing legislation that would "legalize, strictly regulate, and restrict access to cannabis. This will done in a careful way to keep it out of the hands of children and youth and to stop criminals from profiting." A marijuana task force has also been created to guide lawmakers and provide recommendations for the legislation. Thus far they've recommended that adults be allowed to carry up to 30 grams of pot and grow up to 4 plants, higher potencies should be taxed higher, weed can't be sold where alcohol and tobacco are sold, alcohol free marijuana lounges will be allowed, and the minimum age to be able to partake should be 21 due to brain development. A couple fun facts: In the US the only states that have legalized weed are California, Massachusetts, Maine, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and the District of Columbia. Uruguay in South America is the only country that has legalized pot. I don't smoke, but I don't find anything wrong with this and I think the US needs to stop being so stuffy and follow their lead. Weed is much safer than alcohol and hard drugs, it has medical benefits, and it'll be huge for Canada's economy. I might move to Canada just so I can get a cut of all the money they're about to make. I know many of yall have seen her, the powerful little 4 foot tall, ponytail wearing girl with her hands on his hips, fearlessly staring down a bull.
She's called the "Fearless Girl" and she'll be staring down the Wall Street bull @ least until February 2018. She was set to be moved on April 2nd, but thanks to more than 50 NY politicians coming forward to present Mayor Bill de Blasio with a signed letter to make her a place there permanent. She was created by artist Kristin Visbal and installed by State Street Global Advisors. She found her rightful place ahead of International Women's Day to bring attention to gender pay gaps and the lack of gender diversity on corporate boards int he financial sector. NY Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney said the Fearless Girl was "created to inspire and personify the resilience of women everywhere." I thought she was going to permanently be there and it's a little disappointing now knowing that she won't be. It's a very powerful thing to see pictures of her and other women and even little girls posing alongside her. Hopefully another replica of the Fearless Girl can be made to go in her place once this one finds her new home. Anytime a story regarding black lives comes up, it will always go on my blog. These are probably the most important topics that I always look out for. I wanna make sure that just because they're names are highlighted in the media, they're not forgotten. And as always, I will not post the photo of the officer on this post, it's not his face that should be remembered, so if you're curious, Google is gonna have to be your best friend.
Ramarley Graham, just in case for those that don't remember what led up to this 18 year old young man loosing his life here's a brief background: back in February 2012, cops were doing a drug probe in the Bronx neighborhood Ramarley was living in, the officer that shot him, Richard Haste, followed Ramarley because it was suspected that he had a gun, Haste then followed him into this apartment building, Haste and his partner broke into his home, followed him into a bathroom, a VERBAL confrontation ensued between them, Haste thought that Ramarley was reaching into the waistband of his pants to pull out a gun and shoot him, and shot Ramarley dead infront of his little brother and grandmother. Fast forward 5 years, Haste was allowed to stay on the force, but over the weekend Haste resigned. He only resigned because Administraive Judge Rosemarie Maldonado handed down a judgement that he should be fired because he acted recklessly the night that he shot and kissed Ramarley. Haste was charged with manslaughter, just like the rest of the cops that shot and kill unarmed people of color. He of course pleaded not guilty and the Bronx Supreme Court dismissed the indictment due to the jury being given "flawed" instructions. A federal investigation found insufficient evidence for a criminial civil rights case. Because a white officer going after and then shooting and killing a black boy isn't enough! No gun was ever found @ the scene of the crime, so Ramarley died for what? Cause this officer was afraid? Listen, if you're that scary and trigger happy, then you need not be in law enforcment. Of course, he used the familiar line "I thought I was about to be shot. I expected to be dead." Yeah, ok sir. Ramarley's mother, Constance Malcolm says that Haste should've been fired after the shooting and I 100% agree. Keeping somebody on your force that's killed somebody is like giving permission to the others to do the same because there won't be any consquences. She's also calling for 2 other officers that were involved to be fired, she wants Haste's internal review to be released to the public, she also believes that Haste shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun, or receive benefits. A NYPD spokesperson has said that Haste won't be receiving his pension. Geez thanks, that's the least you all could do, take some money out his pocket, while this mother has to sit around knowing that her son is dead, his killer can go out find another source of income, meanwhile she's gonna be without her child forever. #sayhisname In case you've been living under a rock, there's a HUGE heroin epidemic crisis in this country, I found this interesting article on CNN, and I wanted to share cause it combines 2 issues that Trump's promised he would fix.
According to Quest Diagnostics, the percentage of American workers testing positive for illegal drugs has climbed steadily over the last 3 years. Quest Diagnostics performed more than 10 million employment drug screenings last year. This increase is @ the highest level in a decade. Apparently this increase isn't just from heroin, it's also coming from other illegal drugs such as cocaine, meth, etc, but also surprisingly from the increase in states legalizing recreational marijuana. Employers insist drug testing keeps workplaces safe and ensures productive and stable work environments, yet there's no evidence that these tests are necessary for all jobs or lowers risks or reduces drug use. **I mean those are things that we already knew, so no surprises there** The most interesting thing I read in this articles is that when American works can't be found to fill these positions, who do you think employers turn to in order to fill them? You guessed it, illegal immigrants and refugees. You know, the people that Trump is desperate to kick out of the country. Let's put this in perspective, American workers can't fill these positions because there's a big problem in this country. 1st, I don't think legalized recreational marijuana should count in these drugs tests. Again, legalized marijuana, if you're living in a state where it's not legal just yet, yes it should count. Now, onto this heroin epidemic, something has to be done. Trump made mention of the epidemic while he was campaigning, but other than that to the best of my knowledge he hasn't mentioned it since, please correct me if I'm wrong, I would love to be wrong in this case. Anywho, Trump has also promised that he was going to create jobs, and I definitely agree that more jobs need to be created, however there are jobs now that can't be filled because this is such a problem. Instead of slashing and cutting the budget to down to nothing and taking away programs that can potentially curb this crisis, more funds needs to be pumped into these programs. I mean, it's not rocket science! And it's bigger than just trying to fill these jobs, it's about people's quality of lives, it's about people dying, it's sooo much bigger than just jobs. It's 1 thing to just casually mention that there's an epidemic while you're campaigning, but it's a completely different thing to actually do something about it. Now, regarding the illegal immigrants and the refugees. I will always and forever believe that programs should be in place to make it so that these people can become legalized instead of just tossing them out. Listen, no matter what goes on in this country, goods and services still need to be produced, and if illegal immigrants and refugees do their part and help to keep this country going, that's a good thing! It's not like they're sitting on their asses and just mooching off the country! They're contributing to this country while also trying to make better lives for themselves, so why is that a bad thing? In news that should shock and surprise nobody, Wall Street is losing faith in Trump. **looks around** Anybody surprised?
I'm gonna try to keep this short and sweet cause it's not a shock to anybody, so here are some things to keep in mind:
Bottom line: Trump isn't going to come through on tax reform, Wall Street has their hopes up for nothing, stupid for even believing any of his promises, he doesn't know what he's doing, and this is a joke. |
