ORIGINAL POST Just something quick that I wanted to pass along:
Brief thought: Kudos to these judges for recognizing and acknowledging that there's a problem, however this is a rampant issue in this country and there's more work to be done in other states. It's officially 2018, so that means there's going to be a host of elections, including the midterm elections going on this year. Here are a few things to ponder over as we enter this election year:

As some of yall know, Puerto Ricans voted in support of becoming the 51st state in our "union." Here are the things that yall need to know about the vote:
Fun Facts about Puerto Rico that you may not have known because I didn't know some of these things:
Brief thought: I've never understood why Puerto Rico wasn't a state. If they pay for things that benefit our country and go to state citizens, then why don't they have the same resources, funds, etc, that we have? So, pretty much, we can "own" you, but we're not gonna treat you equally? That sounds familiar doesn't it? I absolutely think Puerto Rico should be a state, I absolutely believe they should be able to vote in presidential elections, they're congressional representative should have all the powers that "normal" representatives have, it's ridiculous that American "owns" this island, yet they're drowning in debt, and people are fleeing the coutnry in droves to escape the debt that just keeps piling higher and higher. This post is for my fellow Virginians. Just a little something you'll want to keep in mind as you're making up your mind on who to vote for in the election this year.
Another quick post that I wanted to share.
After making changes to it's voter ID law, Texas legislature approved the revised version on Sunday, and have sent it Governor Greg Abbott. The changes include increasing the list of appropriate and acceptable IDs. IDs can now include passport cards, recently expired IDs, gun licenses, etc. Surprisingly, college IDs aren't considered an acceptable form of identification in the state. The revised version of the bill will also include allowing people without IDs to vote by signing an affidavit. Should a person lie on the affidavit, they could be charged with a felony. A judge has twice ruled the 2011 original version of the the bill intentionally attempted to suppress the votes of minorities. We have a "winners" ladies and gentlemen:
**Each and every post that I may have to do about this man, will more than likely include audio of the assault, so we can NEVER forget that this man can't even handle being questioned by 1 reported, now he's off to Congress where he'll be bombarded with questions from reporters day in and day out. Also, this is all we're ever going to remember you for** UPDATE #3

ORIGINAL POST It's getting crazy out here guys! @ a meet and greet event @ the candidate's office in Bozeman, Montana, Ben Jacobs, a reported for The Guardian was attacked by Republican nominee in Montana's @ large US House of Representatives special election, Greg Gianforte. Gianforte was approached by Jacobs while he was preparing for a television interview and Jacobs asked for his opinion about the newly released CBO report on TrumpCare. In audio recording that's been released from the incident, Gianforte can be heard saying, "We'll talk to you about that later," Jacobs then asks again, Gianforte refers him to a spokesman, and then the assault took place from there. After a bunch of noise, Gianforte can then be heard saying, "I'm sick and tired of you guys. The last guy who came in here...did the same thing. Get the hell out of here." Jacobs appeared on All In With Chris Hayes to provide additional information about what happened. He said that he had "been pressing the campaign for the a few days to grab Gianforte one on one" and then saw his opportunity to ask his opinion about the CBO score when Gianforte "was just standing around." **The interview has been provided below, the audio of the scuff follows the interview** Jacobs then said after he asked the question, "next thing I know, I'm being body slammed. He's on top of me for a second. My glasses are broken. It's the strangest...moment in my entire life reporting." After the scuffle, Jacobs left, called the police, then went ot the hospital where he had to get an x-ray for his elbow. He's since been released. A statement has been released by Gianforte, courtesy of his spokesperson. "Jacobs was asked to leave. After asking Jacobs to lower the recorder, Jacobs declined. Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face. Jacobs grabbed Greg's wrist, and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground. It's unfortunate that this aggressive behavior from a liberal journalist created this scene @ our campaign volunteer BBQ." Brief thoughts: 1st: if you can't even handle these sorts of questions while you're just campaigning, then what the hell are you doing trying to be a member of Congress where they're grilled harder than what this reporter ever did to you? 2nd: I don't believe this bs statement that was released by his camp for a couple of reasons. 1. All the things you're describing aren't being heard in the recording. 2. You clearly sound like the aggressor, yet it was Jacobs' fault? 3. The statement just sounds unbelievable. and 4. You had to throw in the term "liberal journalist" to try and deflect from the fact that YOU CAUSED THIS SCUFFLE! DUH! We see this type of stupid deflection bs with Trump everyday! We're clued into the game and tactics! Lastly: Again, why are you trying to be apart of Congress again if you can't even exhibit self control? Especially with all the bs that's going on in Congress and with Trump right now! No, sir, this isn't a place you need to be right now. **Any and all links included in the post have to be copied and pasted into your browser bar**
