I know alot of people are wondering where I've been and why I haven't been on here as much as I normally am.
Well, let me start by saying, I absolutely love this blog, I love what I've done with it, I love the things that I never thought I could accomplish with it, however I'm deep in the midst of a quarter life crisis...and anybody who's ever had a crisis or a breakdown knows how mentally taxing it can be. I'm actively trying to figure out the next steps of my life, where those steps are going to take me, etc. I'm not giving up on this space, however I am going to be taking a hiatus because the steps that I need to take are going to help me become better @ enhancing this space. I thank everyone for their patience and the minute that I have @ least something figured out and I'm in a better mental space, I'll be back roasting Donald Trump, the GOP, and their league of idiots. -R

UPDATE
ORIGINAL POST ...sighs...another day, another police 'what the fuck moment.' As always, video of the incident has been provided below and caution should be taken prior to viewing. Here's what you need to know about Honestie Hodges:
Brief thoughts: I just don't understand how these things keep happening. I'm all for getting the bad guy or gal, but come on! You're looking for a grown ass woman and clearly Honestie is a kid and she looks like a kid! So, I'm just perplexed on how these officers royally screwed this up. What makes it so sad is what Honestie had to say during an interview after the incident, "I wanted to be a detective or a police officer, but now I don't want anything to do with those kind of things. I'm just wondering why they did that to me." Now I don't personally know Honestie, but I inherently believe that all kids are good, despite what parents might try to teach and instill in them, and I believe that Honestie is a good kid and she could've been a damn good detective and/or police officer, lord knows we need more of the good ones. And now we'll never know the potential of what Honestie could've done in this field because these idiots crushed her dreams. And people wondering why there's so much distrust between the black community and the police. This poor child has been traumatized for the rest of her entire life and I guarantee she will NEVER trust the police again. She also said, "I'm afraid to open or go near my back door because of what happened." So, not only has her trust in the people that are supposed to protect her been shattered, her trust in people period has been demolished. The names of these officers need to be released and they need to be removed from the streets because there's no telling how many other people they might've assaulted and how many more they could potentially assault for absolutely no reason. I hope that her family sues the police department for emotional distress and they deserve every dime that comes their way! Here's what you need to know about Omarosa's karma:
Brief thoughts: I strongly dislike Omarosa, in fact, I've NEVER liked her. I believe that she's nothing more than an opportunist and she's fake. She should've never been involved with this administration. She didn't bring anything to the administration, she was nothing more than a place holder for Trump to say, "Here look, I'm not racist because she's black and she's part of my administration." She doesn't give a shit about the black community, hell, we don't even claim her! So, please do not do us any favors and talk about how you witnessed things that have affected "your" community! You witnessed things as we all have, yet you sat back and were silent, so you could've have been that bothered! In the words of Robin Roberts, "Bye Felicia." Here's what you need to know about net neutrality:

Brief thought: Nobody should be surprised by this ruling. It's all about putting more money into big corporations and undoing President Obama's legacy. Nothing more, nothing less. Greetings everyone!
As you all can tell, I've been away for a couple days, but for good reason! I took a mini vacation with my mom to Vegas to celebrate my birthday. The trip was probably the most important thing I've ever done in my life for a couple reasons. 1. I've never been on an airplane and said I never would because I'm a control freak. I was lowkey terrified, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be and dare I say, I can't wait to do it again. 2. The trip was life changing. I've been wanting to make some life changes as far as what I do with work, how I want to spend my life, etc. So, I've made some decisions and I'm going to be making some big changes that I hope will give me this fulfilled feeling that I'm in search of. 3. And lastly, the trip made me realize that I can do absolutely anything in this world and I'm no longer limited to just existing in the area that I live in. There's a whole entire world out there that I need to explore! I'm absolutely positively devastated to be back home because it's cold and just miserable here, but you better believe I'm figuring out where I wanna go to escape the cold! In the meantime, I know I have a lot of posts to catch up on, so I'll be working probably all weekend to get caught up in between the bouts of jet lag that are still plaguing me! -R UPDATE

Thank God our first responders were there so quickly to address the situation."--Bill de Blasio, Mayor of NYC "We're not going to allow them to disrupt us. Here are the posts that were updated today:
On Saturday, Trump will be making his way to Jackson, Mississippi, for the grand opening of the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and of course it wouldn't be a Trump visit if there wasn't drama!
Understandably so, many are not happy about Trump visiting because let's be honest, Trump hates black people and every other minority group for that matter! And those who oppose are not being shy about it! "Trump's statements and policies regarding the protection and enforcement of civil rights have been abysmal. He has created a commission to reinforce voter suppression, refused to denounce white supremacists, and overall, has created a racially hostile climate in this nation."--Derrick Johnson, NAACP President and CEO Oh, it gets better! Representatives John Lewis and Bennie G. Thompson released a joint statement today saying they won't be in attendance for the opening if Trump is there. "President Trump's attendance and his hurtful policies are an insult to the people portrayed in this civil rights museum. The struggles represented in this museum exemplify the truth of what really happened in Mississippi. President Trump's disparaging comments about women, the disabled, immigrants, and National Football League players disrespect the efforts of Fannie Lou Hamer, Aaron Henry, Medgar Evers, Robert Clark, James Chaney, Andrew Goodman, Michael Schwerner, and countless others who have given their all for Mississippi to be a better place. After President Trump departs, we encourage all Mississippians and Americans to visit this historic civil rights museum." Well! Tell us how you really feel! I do think it's highly disrespect for this racist pig to step foot in such a sacred space. He doesn't like black people, so why in the hell are you going to a museum that honors those who've come before us that've helped us reach the point that we're @? You better believe if I'm not wanted somewhere AND I KNOW I'm not wanted there, I'm for sure not gonna be in attendance. I don't believe in placing myself in uncomfortable situations, nor would I want to make anybody else feel uncomfortable. But we must remember, Trump doesn't have feelings and it's all about him and the cameras. I wouldn't be surprised if he got in that museum and said something that's stupid beyond stupid! He wouldn't be himself if he didn't stick his foot in his mouth! Here's what yall need to know about the gun bill the House just passed:
Brief thought: This just shows you how assbackwards America really is. So, instead of putting measures in place to prevent the repeated mass shootings, the Republicans and 6 Democrats put this in place?? I'm not surprised and neither should you because let us remember, this is the same party who's ok with little kids being murdered in their school and not doing anything to ensure it never happens again. Something quick that I wanted to pass along!
Today, Australia's House of Representatives passed their country's marriage equality bill! The bill is now on its way to the Governor General to be signed into law! #loveislove |
