The GOP's tax plan has been updated/amended and here's a link to help you understand what's in it: UPDATE #5
UPDATE #4
UPDATE #3 A new Quinnipiac poll regarding the tax bill has been released and here are the results:
UPDATE #2 Again, I know nothing about taxes other than you have to pay them every year, sooo that's my explanation of why I haven't been on top of this post! Also, I don't believe I should have to tell yall things that yall already know. This is no way shape form or fashion benefits you and I, the normal and average everyday American who's just trying to make it from the next day to the next. Senate Republicans just passed their tax bill THAT NOBODY HAS EVEN READ! Per usual and rightfully so, not 1 single Democrat supported it, and that should tell us all everything that we need to know about this bill that nobody has even read! I will continue to include articles from places such as ABC News, NBC News, and CNN, who can explain this tax stuff better than I ever could, but in simple American terms, if you're not a big business or part of the 1% this in no way shape, form, or fashion will be benefiting you! IMPORTANT NOTE: this bill is not law yet, it still has to voted on again a couple more times, so there's still time to contact your representatives and tell them that this bill is bullshit. UPDATE
Here's what yall need to know about Trump's proposed tax reform:
Now, I'll be the first to admit, none of this makes any sense to me. I'm horrible at math, hence why I write blogs, no math involved! So, the only way I can really gauge if this is all bad or good is by the reactions of those in Washington and..... well thus far per usual, it hasn't been all positive, which is to be expected considering this is something that Trump's money hungry, lying, scheming, fraudulent behind has come up with. So, for those who are like me and know absolutely positively nothing about taxes, here are some reactions, to help you form an opinion. Gary Cohn, Trump's top economic adviser said he can't guarantee that taxes won't go up for some middle class families during an interview on "Good Morning America." "There's an exception to every rule. I can't guarantee anything. You can always find a unique family somewhere. Trump's plan is purely aimed at middle class families, but it depends which state you live in." Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) had the following to say during an interview on "This Week" yesterday, the tax proposal "is just really bad policy. What this is, is a massive transfer of wealth. It's the Robin Hood principle in reverse. He's taking from working families and low income people and giving it to the super rich and creating a $1.5 trillion deficit." He continued with, "And I'm not clear why anybody would support a proposal, which gives massive amounts of tax breaks to the people who don't need it at a time of incredible income and wealth inequality in America. They are repealing the estate tax, the estate tax only applies to the top two-tenths of 1%, millionaires and billionaires like the Walton family of Walmart, like the Koch brothers' family, like the Trump family... This is not a tax break for the right? Well I don't know what a tax break for the rich is." Bottom line is, if Trump's own adviser is saying that he can't guarantee how the middle class and/or low income people will be affected, then it should be clear that this proposal isn't designed for the 99%. Again, as I stated previously, I'm clueless when it comes to all this tax stuff, but what I'm very clear on is the fact that Trump is in the White House drafting and crafting things that'll benefit him, his business, his family, and his friends. He doesn't give a crap about the 99% and how his laws impact us, it's all about lining his pockets. Now, I'm not gonna tell you what to believe or what to think because there may be somebody out there reading this who actually understands what's going on with all of this, all I'm gonna say is to #staywoke because Trump has shown us who he is and what his motives are time and time again! Also, let's not forget that this man is trying to pass tax reform and he still has yet to even release his own returns!
