Something else I wanted to bring to everybody's attention. The name of the post is exactly how I feel. I just have no words to describe what this little boy went through.
New Hampshire investigators are looking into the attack of an 8 year old boy who survived an attempted lynching on August 28th. According to the boy's mother, he and his 11 year old sister were out playing in the city of Claremont (which is predominately white) when a group of teenagers began giving them a hard time and taunting them with racial slurs before stringing the boy up with a rope from a tire swing and pushing him off a picnic table. The group left him there hanging, however the boy managed to escape by swinging back and forth a couple times according to his grandmother. The boy was treated for rope burns to his neck @ an area hospital. Authorities are investigating to determine if he's the victim of a hate crime. Brief thought: I understand that investigations are standard procedure when things happened, so that authorities can gather the facts, but I just hope that authorities hurry and get to the bottom of what happened and catch whomever did this to this poor boy. I'm trying to be optimistic that authorities will do the right thing and come to the right conclusion and not repeat what we've seen time and time again when these events happen. Once additional information has been made available, I'll most definitely update this post.
