Just a little something I wanted to share with everybody.
By now, I'm sure you all have seen the above photo, well this photo got the woman in it in a bit of hot water. Juli Briskman has come forward as the woman in the photo and when she was asked why she made the gesture she said this, "My finger said what I was feeling. I'm angry and I'm frustrated." Briskman was fired from her job @ Akima LLC after the photo went viral and she confessed that it was in fact her in the photo. According to Akima LLC, she was fired for "violating the company's social media policy." Briskman has confirmed to The Washington Post that she has contacted the ACLU regarding her firing. Brief thoughts: 1st and foremost, I've said it before on here and I'll say it again, I respect any and everybody who has the balls to stick it to Trump and tell him exactly what they think of him! So, she is officially one of my many Resistance heroes! Secondly, kudos to her for being honest and admitting that it was her because what I do in my own time is my own personal business! I could understand if she did what she did during company time, but she was on her own time, doing her own thing. And it's not like we're able to see her face in the photo, soooo if the company is worried that it's a bad reflection on them, then firing her backfired on them. If this company hadn't fired her, we probably would've never known who she is or who she worked for, however now we know that Akima LLC fired her for expressing herself and conducting her own form of protest on her own personal time.
