There's something about traveling that makes people crazy and I can only imagine how hard it must be to travel with small kids. **Video has been included below** American Airlines has launched an investigation into a video that has gone viral on social media displaying a confrontation between a passenger and a flight attendant on one of its flights as the flight was about to take off. In the video, which was captured by another passenger, a woman can be seen sobbing as she holds a baby, The video doesn't show what led up to the woman crying. She can be heard saying, "Just give me back my stroller please." A male passenger can then be seen coming to her defense, telling the flight attendant, "Hey bud, hey bud. You do that to me, and I'll knock you flat. The flight attendant tells the male to stay out of the confrontation and then says to him to, "hit me, hit me...bring it on." Witnesses said that prior to the footage, the attendant had "violently" taken the stroller from the woman who was carrying 1 child and had another child on the ground next to her. The attendant hit the woman with the stroller in the process and barely missed striking the baby she was carrying. When other passengers questioned why the attendant was carrying on the way he was, he yelled @ them to "stay out of it." American Airlines swiftly responded to the incident, putting out a statement saying, "We have seen the video and have already started an investigation to obtain the facts. What we see on this video does not reflect our values or how we care for our customers. We are deeply sorry for the pain we have caused this passenger and her family and to any other customers affected by the incident. The actions of our team member captured here do not appear to reflect patience or empathy, two values necessary for customer care. In short, we are disappoimted by these actins." American upgraded the woman to 1st class and the attendant was removed from duty as the investigation continues. **CLAPS FOR AMERICAN AIRLINES** This is how you handle a situation that should've never happened! I get that everybody has a bad day on the job, but @ the same time, you have to be careful about your actions because you never know who's watching! Again, I can't imagine being a mom (@ all), flying with 2 small children (presumably alone), having your property taken from you for what seems like no good reason, being hit by the person who's supposed to be taking care of you while you travel, and being reduced to tears. Traveling with kids alone I'm sure is enough to reduce any perfectly sane person to tears, but then to be treated with such disrespect! Kudos to the man that came to her defense when he saw that she was being mistreated and kudos to American for responding swiftly and bumping her up to 1st class where she rightfully belongs.

I'll never cease to be amazed @ the stupid things that come out of people's mouths.
Last Thursday, Memphis defense attorney Steve Farese told a jury during a rape trial that women can be especially good @ lying because they're the weaker sex....yeah this jackass said that. His client is accused of drugging and raping a woman who came to his house for an interview for a housekeeper position. During his closing arguments, Farese flat out said the women was lying about sexually assaulted. He said the women was going to his client's house to have sex because she was wearing a halter top, it was a "sexy top, it was a contraption. She knew what she was going. She knew what she was doing." He made a statement with the Memphis Commercial Appeal the same day that he made the comment and said that "it's not his job to care if anybody gets offended and smart people will see if for what it is." The jury who were made up of 11 women and 3 men found his client not guilty the next day. My thoughts: I don't know anymore details about the case and in my opinion, nothing else about the case matters because what he said was disgusting. Are there women out there that lie and make it bad for those of us that don't lie, of course. Have there been women who've lied about things as serious as rape, unfortunately yes. But, suppose this woman wasn't lying? Suppose she was telling the truth. Why does her attire automatically mean that she was lying and that she had intentions to go have sex with this man? I'm playing devil's advocate here and trying to see if from both sides. Maybe she felt confident in what she was wearing, maybe she thought that it was just a housekeepers position, she's not trying to be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, maybe she didn't think it was a big deal, hell maybe it was hot in Memphis that day! So, why is it that there could be a million reasons to explain why she wore what she wore, but this man automatically assumes she wanted to bang his client? Also, the hell does he mean women are the weaker sex? Lemme tell you something, women go through things that men will never experience and could never imagine. We grow tiny humans inside of us for months on end, over and over if we please and desire, we bleed for days on end without dying, we lose babies for unexplained reasons, we deal with men's bullshit voluntarily and involuntarily, we face discrimination day in and day out, we mature faster than men, we raise families all while trying to accomplish our hopes and dreams, we take care of you when you're sick (there's nothing worse than a man when he's sick), women are magical, powerful, resilient, and badass. Also, Attorney Farese a woman dealt with her body changing for 9 months, probably did a couple hrs of labor, and raised your ass, if that isn't strength then I don't know what the hell is. @ this point the CEO of United just needs to stop talking. He already butchered the apology and everytime he opens his mouth, I don't believe anything he has to say is genuine.
He did an interview where he said that he felt shame after he saw the video. **eye roll** Went on to say, "This will never happen again." **I bet it won't since it's hurting your bottomline** He also said, "We are not going to put law enforcement on a plane to take them off, to remove a booked, paid, seated passenger. We can't do that." **It should've never been a practice to begin with!** And again please don't forget that initially he didn't' apologize because he was still gathering facts. Pause: you couldn't still apologized because you saw the video of him being dragged off the plane and then you could've apologized again after seeing the video of him coming back on the plane, clearly traumatized, and saying he just wants to go home and for them to just kill him. You could've reacted like a normal human being, while still doing your job and gathering facts. Also 3 officers have been placed on administrative leave. Dr. Dao Update
UPDATE
UPDATE
DJ Khaled voice of course!
This shall be a brief post, I just had an opinion that I wanted to get off my chest! United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz has issued yet another apology regarding the video of Dr. David Dao being roughed up and dragged off a plane. Here's his 3rd apology, "The truly horrific event that occurred on this flight has elicited many responses from all of us, outrage, anger, disappointment. I share all of those sentiments and one above all: my deepest apologies for what happened. Like you, I continue to be disturbed by what happened on this flight and I deeply apologize to the customer forcibly removed and to all the customers aboard. No one should ever be mistreated this way. I want you to know that we take full responsibility and we will work to make it right." It shouldn't have taken 3 times to finally say all the right things, although I believe the apology was aimed @ the wrong person/people. Why are you apologizing to all of us? We weren't forcibly dragged off a plane and bloodied, he was. Say his name, stop referring to him just a customer, he's a f'ing person for God's sake! No amount of apologies will ever excuse what happened, it won't erase the memory of the video, and the fact that it took you 3 times to get it right makes it all worse! Another thing that made me smile, stock shares of United were down 1.5%. If you really want to hurt a company, hurt their pockets! I still think Dr. Dao should sue United for not making it to his patients and for the trauma I'm sure he endured and people need to boycott United, point, blank, and the period. We haven't really had 1 of these in awhile and this boy did Spicer step in it today, so without delay, Welcome to Chapter 7 in the Say What Now Chronicles.
Ol Sean PERIOD Spicer had the balls to say this during his press briefing today, "we didn't even use chemical weapons in WWII." It gets worse believe it or not! "You had a... you know, someone as despicable as Hitler, who didn't even sink to using chemical weapons." WAIT WAIT WAIT! There's more! He was asked to clarify his comments and stepped even further into it. "I think when you come to sarin gas, there was no...he was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing. He brought them into the Holocaust center." THERE'S MORE! "But I'm saying that in the way that Assad used them, where he went in towns, dropped them down to innocent...into the middle of towns...it was brought, so the use of it...I appreciate the clarification." We thought this administration was clueless before, but these mofos don't even know the basics about what happened in WWII! 1st: what the hell is holocaust center? They were concentration camps! 2nd: who in the world is we? We didn't do anything, that was all Hitler, so don't put we on that, say that man's name if you're going to say something so stupid! 3rd: what do you mean Hitler didn't even sink that low to use chemical weapons, so what the hell do you think was being used to kill millions of these poor people that were taken against their will? 4th: the type of gas that was used should be insignificant because it's wrong no matter which is used! Spicer later went on CNN's Wolf Blitzer to apologize, saying, "I was obviously trying to make a point about the heinous acts that Assad made against his own people last week using chemical weapons and gas." "And frankly I mistakenly used an inappropriate and insensitive comment about the Holocaust and there is no comparison. For that, I apologize." For those that don't know, he's a brief overview of what happened in the "holocaust centers:"
Sean Spicer is an idiot, he's insensitive, he's unbelievable rude, he's uneducated, he's ignorant, he's disgusting, he's disrespectful, he should be fired, but he won't because his boss is an idiot too, and it wouldn't surprise me if Donald Trump thought or felt the same way about the Holocaust. There's always a couple topics that you NEVER bring up especially if you don't know what the hell you're talking about, i.e. slavery, the Holocaust, religion, etc. He might want to write these topics down and add to them as he goes along. Clearly, he is unfit for his job, and it just proves to me that with him in his position and Trump in his, qualifications don't matter and aren't needed. Oh, another thing, his comments come just in time for Passover, way to go! Initially I wasn't gonna do this story because I was jealous that it wasn't the person we'd all hoped it would be facing imminent impeachment, but here I am doing it because a big development happened today.
Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley decided instead of facing impeachment, he'll resign instead. He will be replaced by Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey, who'll become the second female judge in Alabama history when she's sworn in Monday evening. His departure stems from allegations he tried to cover up an affair with his former adviser. The state's House Judiciary Committee was concluding it's 1st day of impeachment hearings following the release of a report detailing his affair with Rebekah Caldwell Mason. In an attempt to protect his reputation and silence his staff, he encouraged an "atmosphere of intimidation." He was so sloppy with his affair that he sent his ex-wife of 50 YEARS, Dianne, a text professing his love to Mason and he even allowed this woman to spend nights in the pool house @ the Governor's Mansion. The affair was uncovered and exposed by former cop Spencer Collier and then he also claimed he was fired because of making it known and refusing to cover it up. Again, I didn't wanna do this story because I didn't wanna get anybody's hopes up that it was about Trump, but I guess now that a state is going to have a completely different gov because he was sloppy with his affair, that was important enough to warrant a post, and the fact that his replacement is a woman is icing on the cake. Now, if only we could hurry and get to this point with Trump. UPDATE
Be safe and be vigilant out there everybody!
Churches and other places of worship might've noticed increased amount of security during services today due to a man, Joseph Jakubowski (38) still be on the loose after sending a 161 page manifesto with anti-religious views to Trump @ the White House. Janesville Police Department said there was no specific threat to any particular church or religious group in the manifesto. Last Tuesday, Jakubowski broke into Armageddon Supplies gun store around 8:40pm and stole @ least 16 weapons. 30 minutes later, his car was found engulfed, and he hasn't been seen since. Officials believe that he may be plotting an act of mass violence with his eye on Trump because according to his manifesto he's angry with all government officials and has a dislike for anyone with authority or any governmental power. Authorities are unsure if he's still in the state and the FBI has a $10,000 reward for anyone with information leading to his arrest. UPDATE
In today's what in the hell news...
. A man in Vegas was arrested late Wednesday on counts of terrorism and possession of weapons of mass destruction...but we need to worry about people coming in the country and doing something to us,,.ok, The man, Nicolai Howard Mork, 40, was free on bail after being arrested back in December on explosives and firearms charges. Before we arrested Wednesday evening, police evacuated residents in surrounding homes. Mork is now being held on $8 million dollars bail. I say it all the time and I'll say it again, I'm not afraid of the people overseas, I'm not afraid of the people coming into this country, I'm more afraid of the pople up the street and around the corner, and this is helpful reminder of why. This man graduated from MIT and I don't understand why he's not using his intellectual abilities for good?? UPDATE
ORIGINAL POST I remember seeing this on the news as it was going on, but for those that don't, here's a synopsis: back in September 2013, Gov. Chris Christie was up for reelection and was trying to garner Democratic endorsements, Democratic Mayor Mark Sokolich was holding off on supporting Christie. In retaliation, the George Washington Bridge was closed on the New Jersey side where Mark Sokolich was mayor. This closure caused major traffic jams just in time for the 1st day of school, a woman died from delayed emergency response, the traffic jam was so bad that some emergency personnel were forced to abandon their ambulance and response to an emergency on foot. 2 of Christie's former aides behind have been sentenced to prison time for their roles in Bridgegate.
Witnesses alleged during the trial that Christie knew about the plot beforehand, but he hasn't been charged and has insistent that he knew nothing of the plot until the story broke. **I'm gonna call bs cause there's no way that you didn't know these people were going to shut down a whole bridge and you're the governor!** Another key player in all of this who's yet to be sentenced, but cooperated with the feds as part of a plea deal is David Wildstein. He's admitted to coming up with the plan and testified that Kelly and Baroni helped him carry it out. He also alleges that he and Baroni spoke to Christie about the closures as they were happening. **I 100% believe this** He also said that Kelly emailed him calling for "traffic problems" and he responded with, "got it." Fun Fact: Bridgegate is responsible for ruining Christie's chances to run for president. Welcome to Chapter 5 in the Say What Now chronicles.
Russia is the hottest topic out right now, so it would only be right if this episode of Say What Now was devoted to them! Ready...here goes. IOC (International Olympic Committee) board member, Gian Franco Kasper compared the potential ban of Russian athletes to the Holocaust...yeah you read that right. He compared athletes not competing to millions of Jews being murdered at the hands of Nazi Germany. Kasper has since apologized and said in a statement released by the IOC, "I apologize unreservedly for any offence I have caused. I am truly sorry." This is all stemming from the potential ban of Russian athletes @ the 2018 Winter Olympics, a punishment due to state backed doping and cheating @ the 2014 Sochi Games. Here's the thing, I love the Olympics, it's a past time in my family, every 4 years we're either glued to the Winter or Summer Olympics, but ain't no way in hell I'm comparing a countries punishment for doping and cheating to the Holocaust, that's just nonsense. Everyday, somebody says something that just leaves me scratching my head confused that the world is getting to this level of stupidity. |
