Welcome to Tough Crowd Chapter 7. Today's subject is: Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK). Video below for your viewing pleasure. I made you all aware that many representatives and senators will be holding town halls during their recess for the holiday and Rep. Mullin was no different. He held his town hall last Monday in Jay, Oklahoma and per usual, it went exactly as expected, these lawmakers say something something, put their foot in their mouthes, and the crowd tells them how they really feel about their bs! So here it is, the moment you've all been waiting for, Rep. Mullin's foot in mouth moment: "You say you pay for me to do this? That's bull crap. I pay for myself. I paid enough taxes before I got here and continue to through my company to pay my own salary. This is a service. No one here pays me to go," he told constituents. A perplexed constituent asked, "Pays you to go where?" He replies, "This is a service for me, not a career, and I thank God this is not how I make my living." To which another constituent replies, "Oh please, then don't run. **sips tea** These lawmakers really aren't trying to be reelected come election time huh? Clearly to Rep. Mullin this isn't a career to him, so when it comes election time and he has the audacity to try and run again, the good people of Jay, Oklahoma need to make sure this doesn't become a career to him. Rep. Mullins, most people who become representatives and senators take on their positions to try and make a career out of it because the care and voice of their people mean that much to them. You've made it more than clear that this isn't the job for you and you're not cut out to be working/servicing the people.

Welcome to Tough Crowd Chapter 6! Today's subject is Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) Oh, I bet you remember Rep. Wilson, you may not remember his name, but you remember what he did! Just in case you don't, here it is for your viewing pleasure! 1st before I continue, can I just say how much I miss the man speaking behind the podium!! Anyways, yeah he was the disrespectful jackass that yelled out, "you lie!" during President Obama's speech. Ohhhh how the tables have turned! Fun fact: he apologized to President Obama and like the adult and gentleman he is, he forgave him saying, "we all make mistakes." Rep. Wilson held a town hall this past Monday in the Aiken County, South Carolina and this crowd used those famous words against him and I AM HERE FOR IT! The crowd, of course like many millions of Americans were upset over the Republicans plan to repeal Obamacare. The rowdy crowd held up signs with ''you lie'' on them and chanted it @ one point. Rep. Wilson said even after the town hall and hearing the opinions of the people that he's supposed to work for, he's still committed to repealing and replacing Obamacare. I've said this before, these town halls are my FAVORITE things to cover because they're insightful, it gives these lawmakers and people watching the opportunity to actually hear people's concerns. I think they're funny cause the signs that people come up with are GENIUS! And the dark twisted side of me loves to watch these out of touch lawmakers be ripped a new 1 cause they're getting everything they deserve! I'm also a firm believer in karma, it may not get you right then and there, but that karma will always come back around...welcome to your karma Rep. Wilson! Quick clip of the ''you lie'' moment below! Just wanted to make a quick note, that are going to be ALOT of town halls over the next couple days and weeks because these representatives and senators are on recess, so they're going back home to face their constituents,
I'm gonna do my best to cover them all, if I don't get to them during the week, which I don't see happening, I'll definitely get to them this weekend cause you know I love them and they're sooo important to the current climate of his country. Here's a list of the town halls that happened today alone courtesy of CNN: Arizona

Colorado
Florida
Hawaii
Illinois

Welcome to Chapter 4 in the Tough Crowd Chronicles!
This chapter is a bit different than our previous chapters because there was no town hall taking place. House Intelligence Committee Chairmen Devin Nunes returned to California on Friday for a speaking event @ the Ag Lenders Society's annual meeting in Fresno. He was escorted in and out of the event to avoid the more than 300 protesters that were lining the streets outside the venue. The best part of this whole event was even though his constituents wouldn't be able to directly voice their opinions to him, they came through with signs instead! A few of my favorites are above in the slideshow! Welcome to Chapter 3 in the Tough Crowd Chronicles! This chapter is dedicated to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) who held a town hall this past Saturday and needless to say it went just like the others! I fully support these town halls, I support these citizens giving this elected officials the business, and anytime 1 comes up, I will most definitely be posting about it! **Below is a video of the entire town hall for your viewing pleasure** Per usual, Graham had to shout over the crowd to voice his opinion, that's what happens when you piss people off! He spoke in front of a largely Democratic voting crowd and he gave us a lot of laughable quotes, let's all giggle together shall we...
Notice a pattern of my posts having the same titles, it's cause the same bs keeps happening day after day. These constituents @ these town halls are letting these lawmakers have it and I am here for it!! Representative Joe Barton (R-TX) told one of his constituents to shut up during a town hall event last weekend. His rude outburst came during an intense and brilliant lashing he received from a constituent over his vote against a bill that aim to stop violence against women. The cellphone video from the event shows Rep. Barton responding to a question about the bill by saying, "on the 1st bill that I voted against, that's a true statement, and I voted against it because I think that's a state issue, not a federal issue." 1st and foremost, say what now? So women's issues aren't important enough to be handled on a federal level? Women's issues shouldn't receive federal attention? You sir are why women march. Moving on... Of course after he said that ol sexist bs, he received a chorus of boos and taunts, which were well deserved. This brilliant man spoke up over the boos and taunts and said, "It's violence against women, that's a national issue. That's an issue that impacts everyone, everywhere, not only in this country, but everywhere." CLAPS FOR THIS MAN! Rep. Barton attempted to speak over the crowd and then he pointed @ a man, not sure if it's the same man, or a different man (that doesn't matter), and he said, "you, sir, shut up." Side note: that totally sounds like something I would say, but I'm not in Congress, so I get a pass, you sir, do not. Of course, this pissed the crowd off even more and another brilliant person yelled out, "what is this? You don't tell anyone to shut up. You work for us." CLAPS FOR THIS PERSON! These here politicians needs to realize and understand the state of this country, people aren't here for your bullshit, and they're gonna call you out on it, hence why I have this blog, and hence why people are freely speaking their minds @ these town halls. This representative got exactly what he deserved and again I am here for it! If you thought these people were going to shut up just cause you told them to, you're sadly mistaken, and the only thing you've done sir, is rile them up even more. Good job Rep. Barton! The video is below for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! Quick post cause I thought this was fabulous!
Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) held a town hall after multiple ongoing demonstration were held outside his office. 2 separate town halls were held to accommodate the crowds. 500 majority Democrat voters filled an auditorium and questioned Issa on TrumpCare, plans on defund Planned Parenthood, and Trump's stand on immigrants and refugees. Constituents also refused to let him bypass questions about Russia and how he's going to assist in the investigation of Russia's tampering with the election. Issa declined to say how he voted on TrumpCare aka he voted for it. If you're against something, you're going to say you are, you don't wanna admit that you voted for it cause you don't wanna further piss people off. Stop treating people like they're stupid and can't read between the lines! He wouldn't say how he voted when it comes to TrumpCare, but did say that Obamacare has issues that need to be fixed. Quick to criticize the plan that you didn't vote for and that's perfectly fine, no plan/law is perfect, but the goal is to make the plan/law better, not make it worse! Laughable post moment: Just read these quotes and then I'll comment about why they made me laugh. (Quotes courtesy of CNN) "In return for not having pre-existing conditions not be grounds for refusal or high pay, we're going to have to say to people, 'You've got to continuously be fiscally responsible," Issa said. "If you're choosing a lifestyle where you're saying, 'I can afford everything except healthcare ..." he said before the boos drowned him out. I had a good hearty laugh @ these quotes! On 1 hand, yes I do believe all people should attempt to be as fiscally responsible as possible, what got me was the 2nd quote. Sir, do you really think people are choosing to live lives where they can afford everything except healthcare? Seriously? You don't think people would choose to live lives where healthcare could be apart of their monthly budget?? THAT'S THE WHOLE REASON THEY'RE PISSED ABOUT TRUMPCARE! IT DOES NOT FIT INTO THEIR TIGHT BUDGETS AND THEY WON'T BE INSURED! Majority of the country that's going to be negatively impacted by TrumpCare live paycheck to paycheck, they don't have any room for the sky high costs that are going to come along with TrumpCare! You sir, are delusional, and severely out of touch! I know you have your nice cushy job where you don't have to worry about living like us commoners, but you sir need to get from behind your desk and go canvas your constituents, so you can get an idea of how the other 1/2 lives! You sir, deserved every single last boo and protesting chant that you received @ these town halls. |
