I asked this question on Twitter and I'll ask it here too. Does anybody feel like they're going absolutely insane and losing their mind just listening to the stupidity that is Donald Trump? I pose this question because I think I'm @ that point.
**WARNING: there will be a bit of cursing in this post because I have just had enough of Donald J. Trump, I've had absolutely enough of the deterioration of this country, I have had absolutely enough! Here's the Charlottesville aftermath day 3: Piece of Shit in Chief
New Reactions
Show Up & Resist!
**IF YOU ARE GOING TO THESE RALLIES TO COUNTERPROTEST: please tell your friends and family where you're going, do not go alone, and if humanly possible keep it non violent, DO NOT give these people what they want!

Here's the Charlottesville aftermath day 2:
Protests
The Murderer
Trump
As I stated below, I really don't wanna do this post and give more attention to these pieces of shit than they deserve, but I also feel like it's important to highlight the state of this country. I think last night I just wasn't emotionally and mentally "available" enough to do this sort of heavy post, but I'm gonna do it because things are getting entirely out of hand and it's something that unfortunately we're not able to ignore. All of this chaos, hatred, fear, etc because of a statue coming down!
Here's what yall need to know about the situation in Charlottesville:
Last Night 8/11/2017
ORIGINAL THOUGHTS In case you haven't heard, there's a Klan rally without the robes and hoods going on in Charlottesville, VA tonight into tomorrow (Saturday). Currently, debating on if I'm going to give this gathering any additional attention. Check back for possible updates. P.S.--Yes, the above picture is of the rally that's taking place tonight. The driver of a car that plowed into a crowd of demonstrators after a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia Saturday has been arrested, as city officials report that one person has died and 19 are injured following the incident. Video taken in the afternoon after the demonstration was shut down shows crowds walking down a downtown Charlottesville street as several cars move slowly along the same avenue. Abruptly, a gray Dodge Challenger rams into the back of another vehicle, slamming one or more cars ahead of it amid the crowd of protesters. The driver then rapidly reverses away from the scene. Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer tweeted Saturday afternoon that "a life has been lost," a fact that was later confirmed by the University of Virginia Health System, which reported that 20 patients were brought to UVA Medical Center and that 19 were being "assessed and treated." Here is what you need to know about the NAACP imposed "travel advisory:"
Does anybody else wake up everyday genuinely confused about what country we're living in since Trump has been in office or is it just me?
Today, Trump along with 2 of his prime ass kissers, Senators David Perdue (R-GA) and Tom Cotton (R-AR) introduced the 'Reforming American Immigration for Strong Employment (RAISE) Act' and yes as you're probably expecting, it's a bunch of bullshit...brace yourselves! The ultimate goal of the bill is to scale back legal immigration. Yes, you read that right, illegal immigrants are a problem to this asshole and apparently the ones who come to this country "the right way" are too, so clearly if you're an immigrant, you can't win with this man! Trump and his 2 ass kissers plan on accomplishing this by changing the system for granting green cards by giving priority to English speaking, high skilled immigrants. Yes, again you read that right. And just in case you don't believe me when I tell yall he really said that, here's the quote! "This competitive application process will favor applicants who can speak English, financially support themselves and their families and demonstrate skills that will contribute to our economy." So, basically if you don't have the potential to make this jackass and his other wealthy friends money, you're of no service to this country. Fun Fact: In 1996, President Clinton signed a reform bill barring legal immigrants from receiving government benefits for 5 years or longer, unless the benefits are for children or human trafficking victims. BONUS Also on Wednesday, Stephen Miller, Senior White House adviser, was updating reporters on the Raise Act when he was pressed about if the measure was "in keeping with the American tradition when it comes to immigration" by CNN correspondent Jim Acosta. To bring his point home, Acosta also quoted the famous words from Emma Lazarus' poem "The New Colossus," which are located @ the base of the Statue of Liberty which state for those that don't know, "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free." "I don't want to get off into a whole thing about history here, but the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of liberty enlightening the world, is a symbol of American liberty lighting the world. The poem that you're referring to was added later, is not actually a part of the original Statue of Liberty." This was Miller's pathetic excuse. Brief thoughts: ...sighs...Where to even begin?? I'm pretty sure not 1 single person in this administration passed a single American history class, if they did this kind of foolishness wouldn't stand. Here's a fun fact for Trump and his bandits, this country was founded and built on the backs of immigrants, some came willingly and some were forced to come here against their will. I'm also positive that Trump wouldn't know or understand the struggle of trying to build yourself up from nothing because he was handed everything in life. He never had to start from 0, he never had to figure it out for himself, so for a man like him to tell a person who wants to come here and contribute to this country and make something of themselves that they're not welcome, despite the fact that they're coming legally, just because they're poor and not a MENSA (organization who's members are certifiable geniuses) certified is a bunch of bullshit and it's just outright disgusting. Also, Donald J. Trump is the biggest idiot this country has ever seen and the fact that he's going to tell another person they're not intelligent enough to be here is beyond ridiculous! Lastly, for the imbecile that is Stephen Miller, it doesn't matter if the Statue of Liberty was erected with those words already or if they were added @ a later date, the point is that they're there...period! Those words made it clear that no matter who you are/were, no matter how much money had/have, in your pocket, no matter how intelligent you were/are, you could call this place home and you could become whomever and whatever you wanted to be. So, thank you for not turning it into a "history thing" because clearly you were sleeping in history class. @ this point, nobody should be surprised by the things that Trump does and does not do.
On Wednesday, Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that Trump declined the NAACP's invitation to speak @ it's 108th annual convention that'll place next place in Baltimore. Sanders also lied on behalf of Trump saying "certainly the invitation for dialogue with that group would happily take place and we'd certainly like to continue to do that." **Umm...1st and foremost, what do you mean "that group?" Address the group by name and have some damn respect! In my opinion, her saying "that group" is the equivalent to me of somebody saying, "you people." "During his campaign, President Trump asked us 'what do you have to lose?' We get the message loud and clear. The president's decision today underscores the harsh fact: we have lost...we've lost the will of the current administration to listen to issues facing the black community."--Leon Russell, NAACP Board Chairman FUN FACT #1: Trump didn't speak @ the convention last year either due to "scheduling conflicts" the with Republican National Convention. FUN FACT #2: The NAACP didn't find out that Trump wouldn't be attending until it Sanders announced it. FUN FACT #3: Trump was the 1st GOP presidential nominee in years to not address the NAACP last year. Both John McCain and Mitt Romney attended and spoke @ the convention. Presidents Obama, George W. Bush (miss him!), Bill Clinton, and Ronald Reagan have all addressed the convention. Brief thought: We haven't lost anything. You can't lose what you never had. We as black people and we as minorities have never had Trump's attention. He's never cared about the interests plaguing our communities and he's never truly cared to come up with solutions. Trump is a vile, nasty, racist pig, of course he's not going to show up to something like this! NOBODY SHOULD BE SURPRISED BY THIS! I would've been more surprised if he actually had the audacity to take his behind to the convention. I find it disrespectful that even if he didn't tell the NAACP himself that he wasn't going to attend, he could've gotten 1 of his puppets to tell them instead of having them find out when we all found out. Also, with all that we know about Trump and how he operates, is he really somebody that we would want to be in attendance of this convention? It would be nothing more than a waste of time to have him stand in front of a group of intelligent black folks and lie. Bottom line is that we can't depend on this administration or government period to solve the issues that we have in our community. Just a little something I wanted to pass along.
Jeff, Sieting, the village president of Kalkaska, Michigan posted some vile things about Muslims on his Facebook page, things that he refuses to apologize for. The posts were found by a resident of Kalkaska, who along with others are now working to have Sieting removed from office. Things that he posted include calling for the killing of 'every last Muslim' as well as using nuclear weapons on the world's 10 largest Muslim majority cities. Sieting has stated that his comments are protected by the 1st Amendment and that trying to boot him out of office are doing so because they oppose Trump being in office. He also stated that, "I don't expect everyone to see things the way I do." Brief thought: Here's the thing, yeah unfortunately, the 1st Amendment does allow for people like this to say vile things, however, if you're going to say whatever you want, then you have to deal with the consequences and deal with how your words make other people feel. Also, this whole hatred of all Muslims is old and tired @ this point. There are extreme and hateful people in every religion, ethnicity, nationality, and creed, so why so much hate towards Muslims? Not all Muslims are out to hurt others, the same way not all white people are mass murderers, not all black people are thugs in gangs killing other black people, not all Hispanics/Latinos are illegal immigrants coming into this country to harm others. Another thing, people being mad that Trump is in office has nothing to do with people being mad about the things you said. Don't ever give yourself that much credit, but you are just like Trump, racist, vile, disgusting, ignorant, the list goes on and on. Once again, I keep tryna tell yall, gotta be mindful of the things that you post on social media because you never know who's going to find it and you have no idea how people are going to react. I do hope that these residents that have banded together are successful in removing him from office the same way that I hope we as The Resistance band together and remove Trump from office. When I read about what I'm about to tell yall, I was stuck between not being surprised and confusion.
Here's what yall need to know about a city in Florida's plans to rename their streets:
Brief thought: This is some disrespectful racist ish! Point, blank, and the period! Conveniently, yall couldn't rename the streets in any other neighborhood other than this black neighborhood?! You're really trying to rename the streets that these black folks live on after confederate generals AND after a member of the Ku Klux Klan??!! I'm surprised, but nothing that goes on in this country surprises me anymore. UPDATE
ORIGINAL POST **sighs** that's all I have to say about this post right now. Lemme give you some background of what happened, so I can gather my thoughts. Bill Maher was taping a live segment for his talk show on HBO, Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) was his guest, the 2 men were bantering back and forth, Maher joked that he needed to get to Nebraska more, and this is what happened next: "You're welcome. We're love to have you work in the fields with us." "Work in the fields? Senators...I'm a house n*****r." Yeah, that really happened, I'm gonna save my thoughts for the bottom of the post. Some in the audience laughed, I don't know what they found funny, but majority let out "audible groans." Senator Sasse was visibly uncomfortable by what had just been said and Maher shrugged off the situation, simply saying, "It's a joke." **Again, holding my comments for the bottom of the post** Maher has since come out and apologized, receiving tons of hate and calls for your show to be canceled will make a person do that.
In response to backlash he's received for not doing more to call Maher out on his actions, Senator Sasse said this via Twitter on Saturday:
HBO has called Maher's 'joke' "completely inexcusable and tasteless." They also said, "We are removing his deeply offensive comment from any subsequent airings of the show." Also, there are 2 different takes of the situation that I wanted to share, the 1st from Reverend Al Sharpton:
The 2nd comes from Larry King:
Thoughts: I'm not even gonna lie and put brief in front of 'thoughts' cause I know damn well no parts of this will be brief. What in the hell was he thinking? What in the hell is every Caucasian person thinking when they allow that word to come flying out of their mouth?? Listen, I've been in a situation where a white person let the N word come flying out of their mouth while they were drunk, I can remember 2 things: 1) being shocked that it even happened and 2) thinking we were all going to jail for giving her the business. I just don't understand why we keep having to have this conversation over and over, there are some words that can't be spoken by other races and that word is 1 of them. It's not that hard to understand, don't fucking (sorry mom) say it, and nobody gets hurt! He brushed it off like it was a joke, nobody about what you said was funny sir, so where was the joke? Please point us in the direction of it because none of us can find it! It irks me to my core that certain white people, not all, think they can just joke about slavery, and because they call it a 'joke' we're all just supposed to laugh along. Umm, no that's not how this works! I bet if we black people joked about (insert white history event here), we would all instantly become condemned to hell, but because it was a popular white person making the 'joke' he gets a pass? Get the fuck outta here! Nothing about slavery was or is funny. Nothing about being crammed on top of 1 another on a hot, disease ridden ship with no food or water is funny. Nothing about being taken from another country, ripped away from your family, being forced to work for nothing, being sold off to the highest bidder, being whipped, abused, raped, and murdered is funny. Nothing about 1 skin tone being good enough to work in the house and the other being forced to work in the hot fields all day is funny, fun fact for you Mr. Maher, because of this separation of skin hues way back when, there's still colorism in the black community to this very day, and I have been a victim of this colorism, meanwhile you a white male, had the audacity to make a joke about it! Nothing about being deemed less than a human being is funny. Nothing about being called that word because you weren't valued enough to be called by the name they gave you is funny. I'm not here for his apology, as a black person and as a person in , I don't accept it, just like Kathy Griffin's ass, it's not sincere, you're only apologizing because the wrath of black Twitter lit a fire under that ass! If you had gotten away with it, there wouldn't be a single apology coming from your direction! Also, I'm not here for Senator Sasse's apology either. You should've had the balls and the common sense right then and there to say you fucked up Bill Maher, but you didn't. Just like Maher and Griffin, you're only apologizing because a fire was lit under your ass too! Reverend Sharpton is absolutely correct. We appreciate you and love you for being a liberal, however, just because you're down with the liberal cause doesn't mean that you have the freedom to use that word and not catch these hands. Larry King, shut your old ass! I don't give a damn if he apologized a million times, apologized til he was blue in the face, and apologized until the day he dies, guess who's never going to be here for his apologies, me and whole bunch of other people, not just black people. So, we should get over the fact that he said a word that carries so much hatred and history. Funny, an old white man is telling us to get over it! Should we get over slavery too since it's not big deal? I'm sure if we told you and your white counterparts to get over (insert white history event or insert white insult here), it would be a problem, we would be deemed horrible, and there would be an outrage. Shut the hell and don't speak on things you know nothing about! Defending your friend is fine, that other part you could've kept to yourself! Do I think Bill Maher should be fired? Absolutely! You have the balls to say that word live on air, you should have the balls to deal with whatever consequences come your way and HBO should be boycotted until they fire Maher. That same energy you had when you said the word should be the same energy you have dealing with all this hate! Rant over! Canceling HBO right now. They keep trying us black people thinking that we're our ancestors and that we'll just let ish go!
Scott Meyer, a National Rifle Association lobbyist, made an appearance infront of Wisconsin's Senate Judiciary Committee where he was talking about a Republican bill that would allow people to carry concealed weapons without permits or training.**This is the 1st say what now part of the post! Why in the entire hell would we want people walking around with guns that they have no permits or training for? See, Republicans and the NRA just want people to get shot up cause that increases the money in their pockets. This has to be 1 of the dumbest and most irresponsible pieces of legislature I've ever heard of! Moving on to the next say what now part of the post!** Meyer, in an effort to try and sell the bill, told the committee that the cost of training can prevent minorities from obtaining concealed carry licenses. **Umm, I'm pretty positive that the cost of training isn't what's preventing minorities from getting these licenses, but moving on.** He continued by saying that guns were 1 of the great equalizers for "the blacks" after emancipation. Brief thoughts: Shut the entire hell up Scott Meyer because you have no idea what you're talking about. I have 2 problems with the bullshit that came out of your mouth. 1. Are you trying to imply that African Americans, that would be the proper term for folks such as yourself, were close to being equal to everybody else in this country because they had guns??!! I'm just soooo, I can't even put it into words. You are above ignorant if that's what you're trying to imply. African Americans could have a million guns, millions of dollars, all the land in the world, but we wouldn't still be equal in the eyes of some, just based on the color of our skin. Where was all this equalizer bullshit during the Reconstruction era, during the Civil Rights era, and even now. 2nd: Who the entire hell are you calling "the blacks?" I'm gonna share a personal pet peeve, I hate that we're called black people because we're not black, we're brown, I understand that when we were brought over here in chains there were crayola crayons to tell people the differences between different colors, but you would think we could've @ least upgraded to brown people by now. Just a personal thing, anyways...ummm, just black people is fine, African American is preferred. It's not the 1900s anymore, it's 2017. Come up to a group of black people and call us "the blacks" and lemme know how that goes for you. I don't know or understand why I have to keep reminding people in 2017 of this fact, but here it is again, this generation of black people are not like our ancestors, we're nice and peaceful to an extent. Don't let the recklessness of your mouth have you catch these hands! **NOTE: I'm working my ass off to find a picture of this guy, the minute I find it, trust and believe it will be placed on this post!** |
