2 Army Rangers were killed during a raid that lasted well into the night last Thursday, aiming to taken down a top ISIS leader in Afghanistan. The military is currently looking into whether the 2 were killed by friendly fire from US troopers or from Afghan commandos they were with.
The raid was aimed @ a compound housing Abdul Hasib, the ISIS Emir (commander or leader). It's believed that he was among 35 ISIS fighters killed during the raid. The 2 Rangers have been identified as:

This is going to be brief, just something I wanted to share with yall, but 1st I have a question. What century are we living in again? I mean, seriously.
**Quick note: the map above is important to have and/or keep in mind, so you'll know where court rulings will affect you!** Last Thursday, the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower court ruling that said it was discrimination to pay women less than men for doing the same job. Yes you read that right. They overturned that. They decided employers can legally pay women less than men based on difference in their previous salaries. Regardless of previous salaries, previous jobs, whatever, men and women are no different and should be paid as such! This isn't 1950, it's 2017! This is a total step in the wrong direction and clearly this court doesn't give a shit about the next generation of women or even the current generation of women. I would say to women, don't let this discourage you, we'll keep marching, we'll keep protesting, we'll keep demanding that we be treated and paid no differently than men, and I have faith that one day it'll happen. I'm sure by now, you've either heard about it on the news or maybe read about it on social media somewhere, but I just wanted to briefly cover it here. **Just in case you haven't seen the video, it'll be provided below** Kima Hamilton was on a Delta Air Lines flight, traveling from Atlanta to Milwaukee, when he was dismissed from the flight after he went to the bathroom while the plane was taxiing for takeoff. When he got back to his seat from using the bathroom, a Delta employee came over to him to talk to him. @ this point, other passengers are recording, as they should, just in case anything should pop off. "I'm going to kindly ask you to please come with me," the Delta employee says on the recording. "I'm not really clear on why I'm being asked to leave this plane. I purchased this ticket. I had an emergency. I had to pee...and now I'm being kicked off the plane." Another Delta employee came over to talk to Hamilton and then he left his seat. Other passengers were told during the ordeal to get off the plane and then get back on once Hamilton left his seat. Once off the plane, Hamilton went and purchased another ticket to Milwaukee, this time on Southwest Airlines. Delta released this statement about the incident: "Our flight crews are extensively trained to ensure the safety and security of all customers. It is imperative that passengers comply with crew instructions during all phases of flight, especially at the critical points of takeoff and landing." My thoughts: This is a much different circumstance than Dr. Dao and the woman who had the incident with the stroller on American Airlines. I get the concern behind him getting up while the plane is taxiing, it's a safety concern, especially in the world that we live in now post-9/11. I read somewhere that he asked 1 of the flight attendants if he could get up and use the bathroom and they told him NO, so sir why did you think you defying their rules would end up good for you? I get it, when you gotta go, you gotta go, but there's a time and place when and where you can just get up and go to the bathroom, and while a plane is taxiing, getting ready for takeoff isn't 1 of them sir! I don't think they should've removed him after they talked to him, but again, I get it it's a safety concern. I think it was stupid for him to think that this was going to end well for him after he was already told no, I think it was stupid and unnecessary for him to make a big deal of it cause then it inconvenienced everybody else on the plane just cause he wanted to defy the rules. I really didn't wanna do this post, but as always, no matter how delayed, it's my job on this blog to bring you the important stuff regardless of if I wanna do it or not.
Important things you should know about this "tax plan":
THE MAIN THING THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW IS THAT THIS TAX "REFORM," "PLAN," WHATEVER YOU WANNA CALL IT, IS NOT FOR US NORMAL AMERICANS, IT'S FOR TRUMP HIMSELF, SO THAT HE CAN CONTINUE DOING WHATEVER SHADY BULLSHIT HE DOES ON HIS TAXES...don't ever forget that! **Video of the incident has been provided below** This past Monday, a group of black teens were held @ gunpoint in Grand Rapids, Michigan, after receiving a complaint about a group of teenagers fighting and 1 potentially in possession of a gun. The report said the group consisted of 100 teenage boys fighting, but only 20 to 25 were found when police arrived, and they weren't fighting. When officers arrived @ the scene, a bystander inquired about if they were looking for the group, this person gave a description of some of the boys, allegedly according to the bystander, he saw 1 of the boys drop a revolver, retrieve if from the ground, and then put it in the waistband of his pants. 2 blocks away, an officer heard this information come through his radio, spotted a group of boys that appeared to match the descriptions given by the bystander. He told the boys to get down on the group while waiting for other officers to arrive. In the meantime, the officer hid behind his car door, using it as a shield, and aiming his gun @ the group of boys on the ground. The following can be heard and seen on the officer's body cam: "Guys, get on the ground. Keep your hands out." "Come over here. Keep your hands where I can see them and get on the ground." "What did we do?" One of the boys asks while on the ground. "I do not want to die, bro." Another one of the boys says. "Just keep your hands up to your side and we'll give you directions, ok?" "I'm scared." One of the boys says. "You'll be alright." An officer says. "Just follow our directions and we'll be all right, ok? "Calm down, calm down, calm down, ok. It'll be alright." Once other officers arrived, they had the boys get off the ground, stand with their hands above their heads, and walk towards the officers. They were put in the back of a patrol car until the determination that there was no gun was made. Their parents were called, officers questioned the boys, and came to the realization that they had the wrong guys and there was never a gun. The situation was explained to the parents, but of course and understandibly so, they were upset and not trying to hear any parts of what these officers had to say. **Can't say I blame them!** One of the parents can be seen on the officer's body cam, visibly upset, and I suppose in an effort to further explain the situation and/or calm her down, he said, "he just happens to be possibly in the wrong place in the wrong time, matching the clothing these kids had, ok?" **Umm, not ok! All this does is tell this parent that their child could potentially be shot and killed by an officer just because of similar clothes and dark skin. Way to comfort and make parents feel better!** It's a shame that all of this had to happen to begin with. It kinda reminds me of what happened to Tamir Rice, description was made, turned out to be incorrect, only he lost his life. It's a blessing that these boys didn't lose their lives, but now they'll have to live with the memory of this and it's not just 'oh I got stopped by the police,' no it's these boys being told to get on the ground with a gun pointed @ them! It's the memory and the fear of what's been happening to people of color in this country @ the hands of police! It's the fear that they were going to be next. That's a fear that doesn't just easily go away, especially when you're this young. The police chief and the officers sat down with the boys and talked to them about what happened and why they took the actions they did, but the fear has already been instilled in them. This is going to be brief, but it's something that I wanted to bring to everybody's attention cause it's sad that it's come to this, but it's good to see that when it counts, people will stick together.
Across the country, hundreds of volunteers are escorting illegal immigrants to their meetings with immigration officials and to their court hearings, giving these illegals much needed comfort and support through these terrifying situations. These volunteers typically aren't lawyers, sometimes they're law students, but normally they're you're normal, everyday people. They don't offer legal advice, just love, support, and comfort which goes further than people could ever imagine. This is one of the best things I've read since Trump has taken office and started all this immigration hoopla. It's a very kind thing to do for another person that can't give you anything. I can only imagine how frightening it must be for these illegal immigrants to walk alone to these offices and/or court buildings and not know if you're going to go home to the life that you've created here or if you're going to go back to the country that you were so desperate to get away from. With all the foolishness that's going on in this country, this is a comforting sign that maybe we aren't as divided as we may seem. It's also comforting to know that these volunteers are going with these immigrants to court and to these meetings, so that they have knowledge of what's going on. It's very possible and likely that because these folks aren't from here, they don't know the language, they don't know the laws, etc, so these volunteers can step in and try to explain things to them. These volunteers can also in a way keep these lawyers and judges honest. I would like to imagine, they would be less likely to spread lies and untruths if they know an "American" is in the courtroom, but that might be wishful thinking. Kudos to those that escort these folks to their hearings and meetings. We've talked about the hunger crisis in Somalia and Sudan, but there's another country needs some special attention too...Yemen.
UN officials have declared that the world's largest humanitarian crisis is in Yemen, 17 million people are declared food insecure, and 7 million of the 17 million are facing serious food shortages. @ a day long aid conference that was held Tuesday, international donors pledged $1.1 billion in aid for Yemen, looking to revive diplomatic efforts to end the ongoing conflict in the country that's killed over 10,000 civilians and grant access to humanitarians. An early breakdown provided by the UN showed that Saudi Arabia pledged $150 million, the UK pledged $173 million, the UAE pledged $100 million, and the US pledged $94 million to the cause. The ongoing war in Yemen has fractured health care, pushed the country close to famine, deterred the import of much needed food, medicines, and resources. Less than 45% of health facilities are fully functioning and the availability of essential medicines has decreased by 70% according to the World Health Organization. The House Freedom Caucus, which heavily opposed the initial TrumpCare proposal, now seems to approve of the new proposal that now includes the MacArthur Amendment. *Important note: just because this caucus now supports this terrible bill, it doesn't mean that it's automatically going to pass because not all Republicans are in support of it, so don't panic!** The MacArthur amendment will make it so that if states can create and fund high risk coverage pools, they can apply for limited waivers from the community rating provision of Obamacare, which requires insurance companies to cover those with pre existing conditions. Aka: the requirement that insurance companies charge healthy folks and seriously ill folks the same rates, would NO LONGER BE IN EXISTENCE. Also, insurance companies could be free from covering services like maternity care and could be allowed to charge the elderly trip the rates of younger people. Oh, and another thing, the Medicaid program would be cut for the poor. My thoughts about this bill remain the same as they've always been, this is a horrible bill that they're trying to pass, it would leave even more people uninsured now that people with pre existing won't be covered cause they won't be able to afford it. Trump and his blind legion of followers don't give a shit about the American people and their health. I don't foresee this passing and if it does any and all Americans that should succumb from losing their coverage will be on the hands of these jackasses. Fun facts:
This is going to be brief, just something I found that further shows that Ivanka Trump is pointless in her "position" and has no influence over her father.
Ivanka Trump did an interview with the Today Show, where she said letting Syrian refugees into the US "has to be part of the discussion" on how to deal with people seeking refuge from war torn countries and opening our borders isn't going to be enough to deal with the crisis. Interesting right? I agree with that she had to say, I do believe that we should let these folks in Yes, there are bad apples in the bunch, but those are few and far between, and I'm more concerned about the people born/already in this country than somebody coming in this country and doing something. I'm all for people coming here to live a better life and bettering this country. In case you've been living under a rock, Donald believes the opposite, which proves that regardless of what Ivanka says or does, it doesn't matter cause her idiot, racist, sexist father is the "leader" of this nation. Here's your daily/nightly Chicago report:
